The Wayfinders: Why Ancient Wisdom Matters in the Modern World by Wade Davis I choose The Wayfinders: Why Ancient Wisdom Matters in the Modern World by Wade Davis as my second book because I've always had an appreciation for history and ancient tales. I've always found history to be interesting because of the parallels you can see between then and now almost like looking in a mirror. Another reason I like history and reading ancient stories are the lessons and how poetic they can be. For example of Sisyphus and how he had to roll the boulder to the top of the hill only for it roll back down everyday, or the Charge of the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava and how they rode into the valley knowing they might not make it out alive. After just starting the book and reading the first two chapters one of my favorite things about the book is the authors use of imagery and metaphors. Wade Davis uses both to describe different groups of people in such imaginative ways. Ano...
